Counselling Waiting List

Due to the size of our waiting list we are not currently taking any new referrals for counselling.

We will update on here when we have a date for it reopening, if you need to talk to someone in the meantime you can contact Samaritans on: 116 123; try another counselling agency or talk to your GP.

Starting Counselling

If you would like to refer yourself for counselling please fill out the online form or phone us on 01484 461098 and we will take your details.

We do have a waiting list and it can be several months before a member of the counselling team will contact you to take further details and offer you an assessment appointment.

Counselling sessions are available Monday to Friday 9.15am – 5pm, some counsellors are also able to offer appointments on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, however the assessment appointment may need to be at a different time to your regular availability due to limited assessment sessions per week.

We are only able to offer counselling to those that can commit to the same time appointment every week (this does not include the assessment appointment, which is a one off session.).

The assessment appointment lasts an hour, where you can discuss areas that you feel need addressing, and ask any questions you may have. After this appointment, you will be placed with the counsellor who we feel is best able to help you, however there may be a wait for a suitable appointment to become available.

We make a contract with each person who uses the service where individual requirements are noted.
