Is this the right course for me?
Our Level 4 teaches an integrative counselling model. Within this a person centred framework is used to develop the relationship. In year 2 a wider range of models are introduced to develop each counsellors own integration
The underlying humanistic and existential philosophies are discussed, including the contribution of faith based and secular systems. Sessions will start with elements of spiritual reflection.
This course meets all the National Level 4 Diploma standards and criteria requirements, and is therefore suitable for both Christian and Secular counsellor training.
The training will contain practical sessions, comprising of:
- Group Work
- Peer and Triad Counselling
- Audio/Video/Workshop Presentations

- Contracting and Confidentiality
- Difference and Diversity
- Working towards an Integrative Model
- Evidence Based Practice
- Brief Therapy
- Psychodynamic Insight
- Research
- Supervision
You will consolidate the above by completing assignments, and you will also be offered a placement at TLC which is a BACP accredited counselling service centre.
Entry requirements:
To join the course you will need to have completed a minimum 150 hours of training on a Certificate in Counselling Level 3 course, or equivalent. You will also need to commit to take on personal development, group supervision, 1 to 1 supervision, personal therapy and clinical practice.
