A sub group was set up at the NPG meeting on 15th February to take forward plans for a conference in December. This discussion thread is for discussions within that sub-group.

just to get the ball rolling – welcome to the discussion group. I hope progress is being made on a conference venue
Thanks for reigstering Yvonne – I have only just got round to seeing that you have registered and replied!
So Jane and Yvonne, the next thing is for me to invite all people who volunteered to joint the confernce planning group,. The minutes record Jane, Vicky, Matilda, Derek and Phil as volunteers. So I shall proceed to invite them once Jane has registered.

Please could we also invite Averil as she is key to the planning.
People seem to want London rather than Nottingham as the venue as Nottingham is difficult to travel to in a day from some places but no firm decision yet.

I must admit I thought the feeling of the meeting was towards a London venue – but have no personal preference.
I understood that everytime a message was posted you woudl get an alert i nyour email in tray,. Without that I don’t think it will work. I will check this out. Andrew
I hope this proves workable – the key thing seems to me to be that email alerts need to drop into our intray when a new message has been posted. I am told that this will happen provided we have all clicked on “Join this group” in the top RH corner. I know Jill and Alan have – not sure whether Phil and Yvonne have yet.
