what if we get a lot of applications for driving lessons as a means to getting a job? In a rural environment that is a distinct possibility and was the very question I was asked today by a 32 yr old lady (former client) who really cannot get a job in site safety without it? Front loaded money means it is a possibility – where do we draw the line once locals (and local driving instructors) get to hear about it?
This is something that come up quite alot with New Deal providers. I am sure DEL has a view on it

Perhaps some way of ensuring that a job is actually waiting ‘in the wings’ if the HGV, LGV or car licence is requested? After all, isn’t the aim to get people into employment? However, it is not the first time I have seen providers aiming prices at exactly (less 1p) what they perceive the ‘grant’ to be worth. Any hints or tips out there?
