The project team noted the recommendations of ‘Learning in the Workplace’ report and have formed a collaborative partnership agreement with North Highland College, Scotland to develop on-line learning.
The focus of the research for this project was primarily around three generic units of NVQ 3 Supervisory Management, in particular the Health and Safety unit. Upon research it was found that many multi media materials exist which are not sector specific but are generic to the three units in hospitality. These are required to be tailored specifically to the hospitality and catering industry, but could be included in any online programme.
