This guidance document has arisen out of work carried out in a series of action research projects – DDA Taking the work forward – managed by a consortium including LSDA, Skill and NIACE. The guidance addresses the issue of how best to support disabled people into employment, which was a consistent theme in several of the projects’ work. The guidance will draw considerably from the Project 13 report on work experience, the Project 14 report on supporting young people with learning difficulties and disabilities into work and the Project 15 report, which looked at promoting access to employment for adults with learning difficulties.
